Arabic Media Content Director At SC: Qatar’s World Cup Organization is Lesson for Future Generations

Doha, June 12 (QNA) – Director of Arabic Media Content at the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) Ehab Al Malky, said that Qatar’s historic hosting of the World Cup is a practical lesson for future generations in the possibility of achieving what may seem impossible, pointing out that Doha surprised the world in 2009 by officially submitting its file to host the World Cup, in a move that seemed difficult at the time, but the Qatar file succeeded in dazzling the world, and the dream came true and Doha won the challenge, and succeeded in organizing the best edition in the history of the World Cup.

Al Malky added in an interview with (Qatar2022.qa), within a new series of the SC entitled “Amazing: Delivered series,” that this version of the World Cup will remain in everyone’s memory, as Qatar achieved unprecedented success, as seven stadiums were completely built specifically for the tournament, while, Khalifa International Stadium witnessed comprehensive development work, in parallel with the implementation of a series of major infrastructure projects on a global level as part of its efforts to achieve Qatar’s National Vision 2030.

Arabic Media Content Director touched on the legacy left by Qatar’s hosting of the World Cup, and said that the tournament left a sustainable legacy that benefits Qatar and the region, such as the eight stadiums, dozens of training fields, and world-class infrastructure facilities.

Al Malky said that he joined work teams participated in organizing many experimental sporting events in preparation for the World Cup, including, for example, two copies of the Club World Cup, the 24th Arabian Gulf Cup, the Arab Cup 2021, three copies of the African Super Cup, and HH the Amir’s Cup finals since 2017 which annually witnessed the opening of one of the World Cup stadiums, which provided the workers in all operational processes with invaluable experience.
