Isfahan, June 08 (QNA) – Al Rayyan’s hopes to feature in the finale of the 25th Asian Mens Club League Championship have been dashed following Thursday’s 29-31 loss to Bahrain’s Al Najma SC in the semi-finals, in Iran’s Isfahan.

This defeat takes the 2012 champions to the third-place playoff against either Al Duhail or Kuwait’s Kazma.

The finale will played on Saturday.

The tournament qualifies for the Super Globe, to be held from Oct. 17-23 in Saudi Arabia.

Al Rayyan qualified for the semi-finals after leading Group A with three victories over Foolad Mobarakeh Sepahan of Iran 31-23, India T-Sports Club 35-15, and Oman Club 35-21, and a 26-27 loss to Kazma. (QNA)
