Doha, June 17 (QNA) – Al Rayyan Club announced today that HE President of the Club Sheikh Ali bin Saud Al-Thani and Vice President Ali Salem Afifa have submitted their resignations, one year before the completion of the presidential term which extends from 2020 until 2024.
In a statement on its official website, the Club announced the resignation of the president and vice president, appreciating the great efforts made with their team during the last period.
HE Sheikh Saud was elected as president and Ali Salem as vice president in 2019 for a complementary period of one year after both former president HE Sheikh Saud bin Khalid Al-Thani and vice president Abdullah Ezzeddin Al Mutawa resigned.
They were re-elected again during the general assembly meeting that took place in August 2020 for an electoral period that extends until 2024. (QNA)
