Esfahan, June 10 (QNA) – Al Duhail finished as runner-up in the 25th Asian Club Championship after the 30-31 loss to Bahrain’s Al Najma in their final match in the Iranian city of Isfahan today.
This title is the second for Al Najma, after they won their first title of the 20th edition in Hyderabad, India, in 2017 at the expense of Al Duhail who finished as runner-up after they were seeking to win the title for the fourth time.
The final match was strong as it was extended after the original time ended in a 22-22 tie. The tournament qualifies to the IHF Club World Cup (Super Globe) 2023.
Al Duhail came atop Group B with four victories and a single loss. (QNA)
