Doha, June 06 (QNA) – The Qatar Olympic Academy (QOA) has concluded a two-day training course on the future of organizing major tournaments after the World Cup 2022. The course was attended by more than 45 male and female participants of various disciplines and functional fields from Qatar and abroad.
Organized by the QOA in cooperation with the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, the course aimed at benefiting from the Qatari administrative expertise that contributed to the organization of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and handled many situations and events on the ground in various fields and administrative specialties.
It aimed at transferring the legacy of experiences in organizing tournaments and sporting events to the public and those interested in this field, especially after the great organizational success of the State of Qatar in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, as recognized worldwide and considered a model to be followed in hosting major international sporting events when Qatar presented a highly organized event and was distinguished at all levels praised by high-ranking political, sports and media personalities.
QOA Executive Director Khalil Al Jaber expressed his happiness at the joint cooperation between the Academy and the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy.
During the course, Al Jaber said that they were proud of the joint cooperation with the Supreme Committee which resulted in the organization of the said course, hoping that it achieved its goals. QOA had presented courses in the management and organization of sports tournaments and major events, and hosted many leading, administrative and technical personalities in this field of specialization to transfer their experience to the public and those interested, he added.
In this training course, the situation was exceptional as the speakers were the ones who made the country’s latest successes, left their mark, and changed the concepts of organizing tournaments with the testimony of the entire world, he said, pointing out that organizing any sporting event is not an easy task as preparations must be done and many aspects, experiences and competencies must be present for the success of the event.
