Asia Final 8, Women’s final. Japan triumphs: Iran ko in two matches. Indonesia takes third place

After the United Arab Emirates’ victory in the men’s tournament, Japan claimed the women’s title in Doha, becoming the champion of the inaugural FIP Asia Padel Cup with a 2-0 win over Iran in the women’s final.

The tie was decided after the first two matches, both of which were balanced: in the opener, Nagomi/Ozawa prevailed over Najafi Dehaghi/Hana 4-6 6-4 6-1 after a two-hour and 41-minute battle. Then, Mizunuma/Tsukamoto sealed the victory by defeating Fard/Kahrizi 6-4 7-5 in an hour and a half.

Indonesia earned the bronze medal, having started from Phase 2 and defeating Australia 3-0 with wins from Sabrina/Sab
